UCCS University Hall Renovation

Fuse Project Award Winner — Most Aggressive Timeline/Schedule

Floorz earned the Fuse Project Award for Most Aggressive Timeline/Schedule for its work on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs University Hall Renovation, completing a full-building flooring installation within a four-month window to ensure the facility was ready for student occupancy before the 2025 academic year began.

Floorz managed the installation of multiple flooring systems across the full building, including 3,500 square yards of carpet tile, 12,000 square feet of LVT, 250 square yards of sheet vinyl, 10,000 linear feet of rubber base, and over 100 bags of skim coat preparation. Each material type required careful coordination and precise field execution to keep all scopes moving in parallel.

The timeline left no room for error. From bid submission on April 22 to contract execution on May 2, installation start on May 26, and full completion in the first week of August, every phase was compressed and sequenced to protect the academic calendar. Rapid mobilization, accelerated submittal processing, and close collaboration across trades kept the project on track from day one.

The result

University Hall was delivered on schedule and ready for students when the 2025 academic year began — a performance recognized by the industry with the Fuse Project Award for Most Aggressive Timeline/Schedule. This project stands as a direct example of what Floorz brings to high-stakes, time-critical work: speed, precision, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
