Marriott Gateway Park
The Denver Marriott at Gateway Park project consisted of a full interior renovation of an active hospitality property, executed in carefully planned phases to minimize disruption to guests and hotel operations while transforming nearly all guest- and staff-facing spaces.
The flooring scope included the installation of carpet and tile systems throughout high-traffic and public-facing areas, including the hotel entrance, lobby, meeting and event spaces, fitness center, and lobby Starbucks. Each space required a tailored approach to meet both aesthetic and performance requirements associated with a modern, full-service Marriott property.
Recently acquired by Stonebridge Companies, the hotel renovation was part of a broader modernization effort focused on enhancing guest experience, improving operational flow, and updating amenities. Interior renovations included redesigned ground-level floor plans, upgraded finishes, and raised ceiling heights to create a more open and inviting atmosphere.
Key public spaces were reimagined to support flexible use throughout the day, including lounge seating that transitions from breakfast service to evening social hours. Signature features such as a two-story M Club lounge, a dimensional registration wall, and large window walls introduced natural light and visual openness, increasing both the functional and aesthetic demands placed on flooring transitions and detailing.
Executing the flooring installation within an occupied, operational hotel required precise sequencing, coordination with multiple trades, and close collaboration with hotel staff to maintain safety, access, and guest satisfaction. Phased construction allowed the project team to complete renovations efficiently while minimizing downtime and disruption.
The completed renovation reflects a comprehensive transformation of the property—balancing durability, design, and constructability to support both guest experience and long-term hotel operations.
